CASE STATEMENT
- To follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in
working with the poor and homeless to promote
positive transformation of their lives.
3Goal
CASE STATEMENT
- To show Christs love to homeless mothers and
their children and to support them in restoring
their lives by providing transitional housing,
crisis counseling and services, and on-site child
care.
4CASE STATEMENT
Background
A grassroots effort initiated several years
ago by local clergy and business leaders to build
transitional housing to support homeless mothers
and their children in their community and to
provide outreach activities for churches and
their members.
5CASE STATEMENT
Need
- Family homelessness continues to be a pressing
need in King and Snohomish Counties - 9,819 men, women and children were counted as
homeless in King and Snohomish counties on
January 25th 2008 - Approximately ½ of the homeless are families with
children - Families with children were turned away from
shelter over 31,000 times in King and Snohomish
Counties in 2006 due to lack of space.

Vision House Success
- Since 1990, Vision House has served over 600 men,
women and children. - For the past three years, 100 of VH families
have transitioned to permanent housing - Currently serving 23 families, 100 kids in a
child care center, a small community center and
operating two homes for men in recovery - 8 million in shelter facilities built debt free

Vision House Success
- Up to five years after exiting
- 90-100 of our families are still in permanent
housing - 75 have higher household incomes
- Childrens grades have increased and school
absenteeism has decreased dramatically
