ITS Caucus Industry Advisory CommitteeCHARTER
The ITS Caucus Advisory Committee, a non-profit
organization, is a diverse group of public and
private companies, agencies and industry groups
working to educate, support ,provide assistance
and define industry requirements to members of
the Congressional ITS Caucus as they pursue
their mission of education and advancement of
deployment of intelligent transportation systems
technologies (ITS). The advisory committee will
focus on and offer recommendations to resolve
complex and rapidly changing issues concerning
the future deployment of ITS technologies. For

Statement
  • To increase awareness of ITS technologies among
    federal, state and local officials,
    transportation industry professionals, and our
    nations citizens.
  • To provide information about ITS technologies
    that have the potential to reduce vehicle crashes
    and save lives reduce congestion improve fuel
    efficiency protect the environment, and enhance
    safety.
  • To provide a forum that will foster a dialogue
    between the private and public sectors about the
    development and deployment of next-generation
    in-vehicle technologies.
  • To provide advice and advocate legislation,
    including appropriations, to Congress and the
    Administration on transportation, safety,
    mobility and emergency preparedness.
  • To coordinate with the public sector Advisory
    Committee.
