WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE DONE UP UNTIL NOW
  • Sent out resumes to companies.
  • Follow up with companies on application status.
  • Inform faculty the company of choice for
    practical training.
  • Inform company of choice on your acceptance.
  • Inform company if you decide to reject offer.
  • Do not give up for those who has not received any
    offer.
  • Register for this course.

SUPERVISION DURING ATTACHMENT
  • Industrial Supervisor - To whom you are directly
    responsible or report on daily basis. Supervise
    activities assigned , assess comment verify log
    book and evaluate training performances.
  • Academic Supervisor - Involve in monitoring
    students performance general LI advice, visits,
    log book final report assessments.

  • ROLE OF YOUR INDUSTRIAL SUPERVISOR
  • Determine your training schedules for 20 weeks.
  • Guide, advise, discuss and review your training
    achievements and progress.
  • Review and sign your logbook weekly or depends.
  • Assess Evaluate your industrial training
    performance.

  • DAY OF REPORTING
  • Know where exactly the organization is located.
  • Be punctual
  • Properly attired (UTeM Jacket)
  • Wear UTeM matrix card
  • Expect Briefing / Orientation by Company

  • Official letter from faculty (Submit copy to
    company)
  • Logbook.
  • Personal Insurance Cover Letter.
  • Resume (Submit copy to company).

  • Photocopy of IC Bank AC

DURING TRAINING WEEK 1
  • Orientation week not much task assigned.
  • Mail back Kad Maklumat Semasa Latihan to
    Faculty by Week 2 of training.
  • Inform any changes of address or contact no.
  • Be sure to ask for a schedule training program
    with detail activity from your industrial
    supervisor.
  • Be sure that your training schedule is related
    to your field of study.

DURING TRAINING
  • Strictly not allowed to change place of
    attachment unless only for health and safety
    issues!!!
  • Behave like a delegate of FKP/UTeM, be
    enthusiastic, positive professional. Watch with
    whom you are around.
  • Spend all 20 weeks with the company.
  • Stick to companys rules regulation Working
    Hours, Safety Work Ethic etc.
  • You are not permitted to divulge confidential
    info without consent of company.

DURING TRAINING - CONT
  • Be sure to write daily progress report in your
    log book include your actual experiences dont
    forge.
  • Write your final report progressively.
  • Be sure to collect all information to include in
    the final report.
  • Remind your Industrial Supervisor to sign
    stamp the log book on regularly (eg. weekly).
  • Report to the faculty if you encounter any
    problem.

AFTER TRAINING
  • Return company properties !!!.
  • Courtesy call before leaving / Thank you note or
    card.
  • Request for Industrial Training Testimony from
    the company upon completion of training.

  • Academic Supervisor to make arrangement with
    student company on the date and time of visit.
  • Faculty will inform company in writing prior to
    the visit.
  • Ensure you check the practical training portal
    regularly for updates info on the visits.

  • SAFETY
  • ATTENDANCE PUNCTUALITY- follow company working
    hours! come early!
  • OBSERVE COMPANY REGULATIONS- terms conditions
    of employment
  • ESTABLISH GOOD HUMAN RELATIONS
  • - respect others , keep in touch with your
    supervisor, etc

IN CASE OF ACCIDENT !
  • Make Police report within 24 hours!!!
  • Immediately inform Pn. Rohana( HEP to be
  • informed to issue guarantee letter)
  • Obtain medical report for insurance claim
  • Submit MC to Company Faculty

LEAVE
  • Only 7 days leave throughout 20
  • weeks of training. However, still subject
    to companys approval (Pls record in Log Book)
  • Medical leave - MC required.
  • With companys approval Call inform them!
  • Company to release student for any University
    matters. Must first get letter from UTeM!!

DISCIPLINARY ACTION!!!
  • Expel from attached company!
  • Will need to extend semester ! or
  • Will be expelled from UTeM !
  • Will be highlighted in your cert!!!

FINAL YEAR PROJECT
  • Students are encouraged to identify final year
    project during practical training.
  • Contact the academic supervisor 1.5 month before
    the end of your training to discuss and propose
    title.
  • If you do not have a project, check the final
    year project website 3 weeks before the end of
    your training period for updates on the titles
    proposed by lecturers.
