Interesting Facts About the Moon

• The Moon is a 4.6 billion year old ball of rocks.
• It circles the earth every 27 days, 7 hours and
  43 minuets.
• The Diameter is about 2,160 miles across.
• The moon is 27 million degrees F.
• The moon is a helpful part to our environment.

Describing the moon!

• The moons surface is very holey, because of all
  the craters.
• The moon revolves as it turns around the earth.
• All together the moon revolves about 300 to 400
  times a year. It is 27 days, 7 hours and 43
  minutes.

Moon light!

• We see the moon because, the sun light is
  reflecting off the moons surface. With out the
  moon, our Earth would be a pitch black ball at
  night. Also with out the moon our tides would be
  much bigger and dangerous. The waves would be a
  lot bigger. Also nobody would be able to see.

Phases of the moon

• The moon has 8 phases, they are New moon,
  Crescent, Last Quarter, Gibbous, Full moon,
  Gibbous , First Quarter, Crescent and back to New
  Moon.
• The Moon can have at least two New Moons in a
  month.
• Having two New Moons in one month is very, very
  rare.

Why should you go to the Moon?

• I think that you should go to the Moon because
  it is a very interesting place. A lot of people
  go to the Moon. Not since the 1970s If you go
  to the Moon, you could find an alien or a cool
  rock.

Doing a report on the Moon!

• Doing this report about the Moon was very
  interesting, we thought this would be very
  boring, but we found out that the Moon has a lot
  of interesting facts that we never knew about the
  Moon.
