Steps

• Have someone take a digital photo of yourself.
• Get the helpful worksheet and get to a computer.
• Load your digital photo onto the computer.
• Open Microsoft Photoeditor.

• Open your photograph and go to Image and select
  AUTOBALANCE to correct any imbalances in the
  photo.
• If you want to crop part of your photograph go to
  the dotted rectangle on the bar above and click
  on it. Arrange the cropper over the area of your
  photo that you WANT TO KEEP. Once you are happy,
  leave the cropper there and go to IMAGE and hit
  crop.

• Then, Posterize your image. Go to Effects and hit
  Posterize. Choose the 1 or 2 bit option.

• You may want to despeckle your image slightly.
  Go to the Effects menu to do this. You may also
  want to sharpen your image a little too. This
  also is in the Effects menu.

• Save your work back onto the disc. Do not save
  it to the computer hard drive unless I give you
  instructions to do so. Then, print your image
  twice in black and white. Do not print in color.
• If the prints do not turn out with enough
  contrast, we will need to continue working on
  them in the computer.
