Introduction
SRI LANKA

• Sri Lanka is an island situated in the Indian
  ocean.
• It is called as the pearl of the Indian Ocean.
• Colombo is the largest city and the commercial
  capital of Sri Lanka.
• The population of Sri Lanka is about 19.25
  million. Majority of population is Sinhalese.
• The total area is 65,610 sq km (25,332 sq mi).
• The average temperature in the low lands ranges
  from 26o to 31o c year round. Temperature in the
  hill country range from 13 o to 20 o c.

from vegetables and other food items. These are
brought from local villages.Reduction of waste
at village level is proposed. It has many
