• A special programme for training environmental
  interpreters has been developed. The objective of
  the programme is to make the principles and
  methods of the pedagogic of the environmental
  interpretation and environmental management
  systems as well as the environmental criteria
  developed for schools and educational
  establishments familiar and professionally useful
  to environmental interpreters.

• The training programme in Finland is planned to
  consist of four modules
•   1) Introduction to environmental education
• Environmental education theoretic framework and
  role in Finland
•   2) Pedagogic methods
• For example earth education, green drama and
  adventure education
•   3) Environmental and nature knowledge
• Large selection to choose what courses is needed
•   4) Work management systems
• How to plan and organize work, how to prioritize

• The training programme in Finland had 29
  participants.
• The extent of the training programme was 15
  credit units.
• The training programme consisted of 9 two days
  training sessions, 3 five days field courses and
  independent studies. Training was carried out
  with the help of an Internet based WebCT learning
  area which was created for the programme.
