Information Literacywhat is it?
Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject
ourselves, or we know where to find
information upon it. Dr. Samuel
Johnson, April 18, 1775 Information literacy
is the ability to find the most accurate
information using a variety of sources such as
print and non-print materials which include but
are not limited to books, periodicals,
CD-ROMs, on-line databases, and the
Internet. By interviewing people,
utilizing surveys and through general and
specialized observation we may further
add to our knowledge base.
