Session Objectives

• Understand what you will be doing over the next
  few months
• Write an introduction setting out your
  investigation plans

So Far

• You have written a report which discusses the
  impact on individuals and society of the
  increased availability of electronic information.
• These have been read and advice given in your
  report you will get it back next week to improve.
• General comments
• Limited examples outside your experience let many
  down limiting the marks to lower band 2
• Band 3 work was better however many suffered
  because of the lack of examples outside your
  experience
• Some candidates wrote about the impact of ICT on
  society rather than how the increased
  availability of information electronically has
  affected people and society.

What Next

• The main part of the unit (43 out of 50 marks) is
  a research investigation which you carry out,
  then present your findings..
• You will use a variety of research techniques
  including
• Using search engines to find information for the
  investigation,
• Use both local and online database to find
  information,
• Using a spreadsheet to analyse data found.
• Your teacher will give you assignment to read
  through there is a choice of two investigations
  choose the one which appeals to you the most
