PC-IOL implantation in 60 eyes with PCAG and
    cataract.
  • In case of extremely shallow AC tap vitrectomy
    was performed through pp.
  • Healon 5 was used in all cases to enhance
mydriasis, deepen AC and protect endothelium

Methods
GROUP 1 In the first group there were eyes
with primary acute- closed angle glaucoma with
no PAS (peripheral anterior synechiae). 15 eyes
were included in this group.
  • GROUP 2
  • In the second group there were eyes with primary
chronic angle closure glaucoma with less than 180
    of PAS.
  • 30 eyes were included in this group.

GROUP 3 In the third group there were eyes with
primary chronic angle- closure glaucoma with more
than 180 of PAS seen on gonioskopic
examination. 15 eyes were included in this
group.

Results GROUP 1
Follow up time 10.7 months (5-14 months) / 15
eyes

Results GROUP 2
Follow up time 15.9 months (9-33 months) / 30 eyes

Conclusion
  • We have best results if we perform cataract
surgery immediately after the first glaucoma
    attack or soon after.
  • However, we may prevent glaucoma attack by
performing cataract surgery even before the first
    glaucoma attack.
