Task Team Mandate

• A resolution was passed at the May 2002 RPF to
  form a task team to address issues relating to
  binder distributors namely
• Appropriate validation period for calibration
  certificates
• Develop a rational method for the bakkie test
• Compliance criteria for transverse distribution
• Spray tolerances for various binders
• Protocol for flushing and testing spray bars
  on-site in line with HSE requirements

Recommendations of Task Team

• Agreement was reached by the Task Team on the
  following issues
• 12 month validation period for calibration
  certificates
• Test method protocol for bakkie test
• Bakkie test tolerances
• Bakkie test register
• Spray rate tolerances
• Where applicable the above proposals to be
  included in the revision of TRH 3

• Complete investigation into pad test to measure
  transverse longitudinal distribution

  binder distributors
• Update COTO General specifications for roads
  bridge works
