Characters of Englishmen

• handshakes are only exchanged on a first
  introduction
• Dont like ask other to do anything
• Extremely reserved. Questions like Where did you
  buy this watch? or What is your salary? are
  impossible
• Its polite nation. Example to give up ones
  seat to a woman who is standing or to open door
  for her
• English sense of humor is specific, but very
  elegance
• Thinks, that there island its center of the
  world

• Always shake hands to each other when they are
  meeting
• Russians are to shy to ask for something
• Russian can ask to you about everething, up to
  your salary
• Most of them dont give up a seat for a women
  even for old people of course they will never
  open door or carry things for somebody
• Like to speak with there neighbors about
  politics, global problems, e.t.

Climate in England

• Other countries have a climate, in England we
  have weather
• Summer in England is so hot, thats why most of
  vegetables plants can die from the drought if
  they arent watered
• The worst thing of weather in England is thick
  fog, that happens often
• The rivers in England never freeze. When there
  are -8C in England its cold for englishmen the
  cold.

Climate in Russia

• The most exiting season in Russia is winter
• People go skating skiing, children make
  snowmen, throw snowballs sometimes they come
  home having their hands frost bitten.
• Sometimes, when its very cold you can see a
  wonderful tracery on your windows.

Houses in England

• Most people live in small houses built close
  together and joined to another on one side only
  by one wall in common. They are called
  semi-detached. They are usually consist of 2
  floors.
• Downstairs are the living rooms. They are a
  drawing room, a sitting room a kitchen.
  Upstairs are the bed rooms, a bathroom a
  nursery for the children. The drawing room means
  that it is the largest room in a house the one
  with the best furniture.
• There is a fire-place in most of houses, it is
  usually in the sitting room. They think that
  electricity is cleaner but a coal fire is more
  homely.
• The front garden is a smooth grass lawn, you can
  see also there a few flower beds. Back garden is
  more useful, but less pretty than front one

Houses in Russia

• The majority of Russian population lives in
  blocks of flats. In a house which is not very
  large (has 3 or 5 stores or only 1 entrance)
  everybody knows all secrets of the neighbors
  share their negative or positive feelings
  emotions with near-living people. When a house is
  large (has 9 or 16 stores many entrances)
  neighbors dont know even the names of each
  other. In front of a house there is a childrens
  playground. There are several flats on one floor.
• Usual Russian flat consists of entrance hall, two
  or three rooms, kitchen, toilet bathroom which
  are not very large.

Summary about houses

• In both English Russian houses people have
  modern conveniences such as central heating,
  electricity, gas, cold hot running water,
  telephone, but both of nations dont forget about
  beautiful of nature.

Meals and cuisine

• The English usually have 4 meals a day
  breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner.
• Breakfast can be a full English breakfast of
  cornflakes with milk and sugar, or bacon and
  eggs, tost and marmalade, tea or coffee.
• Afternoon tea is taken at about 5 oclock, but it
  can hardly be called a meal. It is a cap of tea
  and cake or biscuits.
• Dinner is the most substantial meal of the day.
  It is usually eaten at 7 oclock. The first
  course kÉ s may be soup. The main course will
  often be fish or meat, perhaps the traditional
  roast beef of old England, and a lot of
  vegetables. The next course will be something
  sweet and often cooked, such as a fruit pie. Last
  og all there may be cheese, often with biscuits.
• It is common knowledge that the English are very
  fond of tea. They like to have a nice cup of
  tea 6 or 8 times a day, sometimes even more.

Meals and cuisine

• At the weekend Russian prefer to get up late and
  have a good breakfast of scrambled eggs or
  pancakes. But on weekdays we just have a cup of
  strong tea or coffee and a couple of sandwiches
• We enjoy our evening meal at home. To begin with
  we usually have some salad. For the first course
  we have some soup. For the main course we have
  meat, chicken or fish dishes with boiled, fried
  or mashed potatoes.
• For dessert we have some fruit, fruit juice or
  just a cup of tea with a piece of cake.
• Russian food is very plain and healthy.

English average family

• English are a nation of stay-at-home. There is
  no place like home,- they say. And when man
  isnt working he is at home in the company of his
  wife children.
• A typical British family used to consist of
  mother, father two children. Since the low
  made it easier to get a divorce, the number of
  divorces has increased. This means that there are
  a lot of one-parent families. However, the
  majority of divorced people marry again, they
  sometimes take responsibility for a second
  family.
• The average woman gets married at 24. Mrs.
  Average now has her first child at the age of 27,
  but she will have only one or two children only
  one mother in four has more.

Russian average family

• In Russia over 80 percent of women about 70
  percent of men marry at the age of 25. Every year
  about one million families break up. About 50 per
  cent of divorces do not remarry.
• Over 50 per cent of divorced men remarry within a
  period of ten years, while 25 per cent of such
  women do so.
• The young families have material difficulties. As
  a result, young couples often have to rely on the
  assistance of their parents. Most of young people
  dont wish to live together with their parents
  after they get married but about half of them
  have to do this. As a result these young people
  dont have necessary experience in family life.

Conclusion

• Russians and Englishmen have some same points,
  but in most of all, they are quite different
  nations.
