Quarter Grade Scale
  • 92 100 A
  • 83 91 B
  • 74 82 C
  • 65 73 D
  • Below 65 F

Elevator is .6 so, in effect, the grade scale is
  • 91.6 100 A
  • 82.6 91.59 B
  • 73.6 82.59 C
  • 64.6 73.59 D
  • 0 64.59 F
  • This is what is used in Progress Book to provide
    you with an average.

Each quarter grade carries with it a point value
that is used for calculating a GPA
  • A 4
  • B 3
  • C 2
  • D 1
  • F 0

In addition, Honors Algebra I grades (because
this is an actual honors level high school
course) are weighted on a 5 point scale (i.e. A
5, B 4, etc.)

  • A grade point average (GPA) is calculated by
    adding up the point totals each quarter and
    dividing by the number of classes taken

Honor and Merit Roll
  • Honor Roll
  • 4.0 GPA or higher in all classes per quarter
  • Merit Roll
  • 3.25 GPA or higher in all classes per quarter

  • Pass/Fail classes are not included
  • Any student earning a D or F is excluded
    regardless of GPA

    official high school transcript.
