2Quincy here! Do you remember learning that Sir
Mortimer makes all the treble clef signs? A
treble clef sign appears on the upper floor or
staff of a songhouse.
3Do you see the five lines of the treble clef
staff? Well, each of the five lines has a name
from the Note Familys musical alphabet. These
alphabetical names are called pitches. Its easy
and fun to remember the names of the lines. We
Note Family kids had them down in no time. Even
my bratty sister Ellie Eighth learned them the
second day of school.
4The lines are named E,G,B,D,F. Just start at the
bottom line and hop up the staff from one line to
the next. Name them in order as you go E,G,B,D,F.
5Our teacher, Mrs. Glockenspiel, loves teaching
the names of the treble clef lines to everyone.
6To remember the names of the lines, think of this
little saying Every Good Boy Deservers Fudge.
Thats easy to remember! The first letter of each
word tells you the names of the lines of the
treble clef staff.
7Just remember to start at the bottom line of the
staff and go upward. Think of gooey, yummy fudge
all over your face and in your stomach, and
youll remember EveryGoodBoyDeserversFudge.
