Title: INTRODUCTION TO 1 CORINTHIANS
1INTRODUCTION TO 1 CORINTHIANS
2Introduction The epistles of I and II
Corinthians are different from Romans in that
they deal with very specific problems in the
Corinthian church. The advice is far less
theologically general, and far more specific
about definite situations.
3Author-
- Author-Virtually all agree that Paul wrote this
letter. Most agree that Paul wrote IC, IIC, Rom.
Gal., Phil, Philemon, and I Thess. This is the
big divide. The letters of 2TH, Col., Eph. and
the Pastorals are generally not agreed as having
been written by Paul.
4Date -
- most likely during the spring of AD 55 during the
third missionary journey. Thus the book is very
early.
