Specialization
  • The Educational Foundations option of
    theEducational Studies major prepares students
    to
  • (a) attend graduate school in elementary
    education, special education or early
    intervention. 
  • (b) work in a variety of education-related
    settingssuch as in early childhood education or
    private and non-profit agencies that do not
    require a teaching license.

The EdF option of the EDST major may be completed
part time and is particularly attractive to
students who transfer to the University of
Oregon late in their educational programs, are
returning to school after an extended absence,
or who work and/or have family responsibilities.

Communication Disorders Sciences
  • The goal of the CDS program is to develop
    professionals who are prepared to make
    significant contributions as speech-language
    pathologists and audiologists. CDS offers a
    bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree.
  • Faculty specialties in Speech, Language, and
    Hearing Sciences include Language Development and
    Disorders, Psycholinguistics, and Cognitive
    Rehabilitation.

Specialization
  • The Integrated Teaching (IT) program prepares
    a new type of educator. Graduates of the IT
    program are broadly prepared through
    interdisciplinary experiences in general
    education and special education to serve the full
    range of students in Oregon's elementary schools.

square feet of new space and renovation of

infrastructure for collaboration Technology

in 2006-7. The new facility will be constructed
on the southwest corner of the University of
Oregon campus between existing buildings, where
it will create a unified education complex.
