  signs displayed throughout the Union.
• Deposit completed form with your name, address,
  phone number, and e-mail address in the box
  located on the UND information table.
• UND apparel will be given away each week of the
  program!!!

Advising Process

• Students will sit down one-on-one with a trained
  advisor.
• Advisors are knowledgeable in all majors.
• Specific advisors will be available for various
  departments.
• Visit the University of North Dakota Bookstore
  representatives to discuss textbook purchasing
  options.
• Table in Fireside Lounge

Anxiety

• Families and Students will be separated during
  the advising session because
• Students need to learn the tools to use when
  working with their advisors.
• Students need to be empowered and trusted to make
  well-informed decisions.
• Students will be making decisions on their own
  for the Spring semester.
• We invite family members to visit with advisors
  after 1200pm in the S. Ballroom if they have
  questions or concerns.
• We will ALL work together!

Credit Hours

• Students will leave here with at least 12
  credit hours if they wish to enter as a full-time
  student.

Consider this. . .

• For each credit hour, a student should spend at
  least 2 hours outside of class preparing for the
  course.
• Students should limit part-time job hours.
• Start with 12-15 credits for the first semester
  and do well. Take more the second semester, if
  desired.
