    from the University of Iowa with an early
    childhood and reading specialization.

Background
  • Did multiple student teaching experiences in Iowa
    city, IA and Des Moines IA.
  • Came back to MN and subbed in the Wayzata School
    district in grades k-6.
  • This past summer I did summer school for Wayzata
    and pulled kids who struggled in reading.

  • 1000-Break/Snack

  • 1215-Recess/Lunch
  • 1255-S.S.R
  • 115-Social Studies/ Science
  • 210- Assignment notebooks.
  • 215-clean up
  • 225- Dismissal

Lunch
  • Lunch money should be deposited at the beginning
    of each day, in the main office in an envelope
    with first and last name.
  • They can bring a lunch or each school lunch.
  • Recess is first at 1215
  • Lunch is after at 1235

  • Day1 Thinking skills
  • Day 2 Art
  • Day 3 P.E and Music (1/2 hour each)
  • Day 4 P.E and music (1/2 hour each)
  • Day 5 Spanish
  • Library time will be provided to check books out
    on day 1.
  • Computer time will start in the next couple of
    weeks with keyboarding and research projects.

Expectations
  • Use common sense and courtesy.
  • Show respect for yourself and others.
  • Be prepared everyday.
  • Actively participate.
  • Follow directions first time given.

  • School wide behavioral expectations and
    discipline procedures are Be Kind, Be Safe, Work
    hard!
  • Warning, time out, parent call home.

D.A.R.E
  • We are going to start day D.A.R.E next Thursday
    or Friday.
  • Officer Gottwald
  • 12-14 lessons about drug, violence and unhealthy
    choices.

Attendance
  • It is important that your child is here everyday
    and on time.
  • If they are unable to be here due to vacations
    please let me know ahead of time and fill out
    notification in office.
  • If they are sick I can get work together for
    them.
  • Students and parents need to be aware that the
    middle school and h.s have make-up policies and
    Saturday school in effect.

Conferences
  • 1 fall conference (November) and 1 spring
    conference (March)
  • Goal setting, performance evidence, and student
    needs will be discussed.
  • Conferences will be student-led, with active
    participation from the student.

Parent Support
  • Keep consistent communication between home and
    school. Please call, email or stop-in with
    concerns or comments.
  • Please confirm your childs homework each day.
    Check that it is complete and sign assignment
    notebook.
