• Genral Objectives of the third phase

I- General Project
The overall objective of the Meyer project is to
demonstrate how a holistic approach to the
internal and exterior refurbishment of existing
offices can provide energy efficient working
environment with also the inclusion of some new
extension (the green house used as general hall
and the new staircases and elevator units). The
main purposes of this third report period have
been to verify using simulation tools how design
strategies and technical solutions match the
general aims of the project and also demonstrate
how they really assure comfort level and
parameters set in the preliminary design phase,
then using results to come to a final design of
components ( grids, panels, windows..) and
plants.

Questa caratteristica del sistema ScreenLine
garantisce un'assoluta protezione dalla polvere,
evitando qualunque intromissione dello sporco
all'interno del vetrocamera. Il che permette alle
tende di presentarsi sempre come nuove,
eliminando tutte le difficoltà di pulizia e
manutenzione che presenta una normale tenda
esposta all'aria.

The use of curtains inside a innserair glass
improves control of solar radiation, also
stopping incoming of infrared and UV radiations,
responsable for internal over heating and
cromatic deterioration of furnitures and floors.

This sistem is based on a movement transmission
usign a magnet. The magnetic force, produced by
the coupling of two magnets (located inside and
outside the glass), is used to produce lifting
and direction movements. This configuration
assures a total protection from dust, avoiding
dirt infiltration inside the glass. Curtains
remain new and clean and thei dont need
maintenance as the one facing out.

The magnetic force is eternal and resistant to
high temperature. The useful life of megnets is
unlimited

Use of grids installed under the windows frame
Windows will be provided by special grids,
integrated in the windows frames , which can be
easily kept open in order to improve stack effect
and cross ventilation

Windows will be provided by automaitc devices to
open and close external blind
