Girls

• Girls during the Renaissance stayed home with
  their mothers and learned how to take care of
  children, cook and clean.
• Girls received a limited education if they
  were wealthy that consisted of History, Latin,
  and Geography.

Boys

• Boys during the Renaissance, helped their
  fathers in farms and in merchant shops.
• Wealthy boys went to school, and grew up to be
  priests.

Women

• A female was considered a girl until she was
  married.
• Women were paid less for the same jobs as men.
  That was why most women were unemployed.

Families

• Families with wealth were able to send their
  kids to private school or be tutored.
• Poor families would send their children to
  work as servants in a wealthy house or to work on
  a farm.

Houses

• Houses for poor families were very small. Some
  only had two rooms with a low ceiling.
• It was very normal for four people to share
  one bed.
• In the summer houses would get so hot, women
  would set up tents outside to live in.
