2Changing Decimals to Fractions
- For numbers over a multiple of ten
- If you have .57, put 57 over 100 because .57
reaches to the 100ths place. - If the number is .824, put 824 over 1000 and put
into simplest form.

- Simplest Form
- divide both the top and bottom by the greatest
common factor. - Example For 50/100, you would take both the
numerator and denominator divided by 50 to get
1/2.
4Improper Fractions
- Make sure that the numerator and denominator have
no common factors - Mixed Numbers
- These numbers are made up of a whole number along
with a fraction.
