population.
- The objective of this
- topic is
- to address nutritional issues that affect the
ageing process in the hope of improving the
health and quality of life of the ageing
population.
14Specific issues/needs linked to
- the degree of dependency (nursing homes, patients
at home) - malnutrition status
- dietary patterns leading to pathologies in the
elderly - comparison between existing epidemiological data
from different population groups (elderly with
different diets) - dietary recommendation and nutritional European
policies for the elderly.
The degree of dependency (nursing home, patients
at home) and increasing malnutrition will be
addressed. Inadequate dietary patterns leading
to pathologies in the elderly will be further
studied. Existing epidemiological data from
different population groups (elderly with
different diets) will be compared and new data
will be provided in view of developing European
dietary recommendation and nutritional policies
for the elderly.

16- If you have the competence and expertise in
- several issues presented in the last 2 slides
- then you have 2 options
- Finding a coordinator or,
- Finding a consortium.
- by
- Using Partner profile forms
- Bio NCP support
17As partner
- Choose the right WP and activities that you can
work with - Be active in writing proposal
- Participate to the consortium meetings
- Be informed about the containing of both parts of
the proposal (A and B) - Choose the type of cost model
- Be close to all coordinator requests.
18As coordinator
- Choose the partners with expertise in the
- field for all the activities (research in
nutrition, research in food development,
training, dissemination, IT, packaging etc.) - The consortium (number of partners) has to
- be established taking into account
- The work packages that were planned
- The budget of the project.
19- WPs are established within the consortium
(initial one) - For the budget is consulted each partners
according with their effort (person month) - A team of at least 2 persons will collect all the
information from the partners and write entire
proposal - A first draft of the proposal is discussed within
the consortium - It is necessary to have a consensus between
partners concerning the budget and the
activities.
20- To have a good proposal (collaborative project or
NoE) it takes at least 2 months - It is necessary that the communication ways to be
available and work very well (e-mail or phones or
messenger program so on) - Be in touch with Bio NCP to have support for any
problems that can occur
