STEPS TO COMPLETE THE FAFSA

• Log on to www.fafsa.ed.gov
• Students Parents Apply for PIN. Click on
  www.pin.ed.gov
• Apply for PIN
• Return to www.fafsa.ed.gov Under 2 Fill out
  your FAFSA
• Select 2009-2010 school year.
• Fill in information requested
• If student did not bring financial information,
  continue.
• Electronically sign with PIN.
• If logged out, simply log back in under 2 Open
  your saved FAFSA.

After Completing the FAFSA

• Advise student that if he/she did not bring
  financial information, they will need to log back
  in (under 2) and enter financial information
  before submitting.
• Once submitted, he/she will receive an email with
  2 weeks confirming that the Student Aid Report
  (SAR) is complete.
• At this point, the student and/or parent may
  contact the schools where he/she has been
  admitted financial aid office and ask what loans
  and grants will be offered.
• Advise the students that these amounts will be
  different at each school because the offered
  amount is based on the schools tuition.
