Installing PocketSAFE Software

• Place Pocket PC on Cradle to connect with your
  Desktop computer.
• Select Click here to download PocketSAFE on the
  SAFE Website.

• Select gt I Agree

• This screen indicates that PocketSAFE is now
  being installed

• Select gt OK

• Select gt Yes

• Check you mobile device for further messages and
  select gt OK

• Remove the PocketSAFE Installation CD
  from your Desktop computer

Set Password Protection

• In order to protect Case sensitive Information
  set a Password by selecting Start gt Settings gt
  Password

Running PocketSAFE

• Place Pocket PC on cradle connected to Desktop
• Locate PocketSAFE icon via Start gt PocketSAFE OR
  
• Start gt Programs gt PocketSAFE

Running PocketSAFE (Optional)

• You can designate one of the Buttons to open
  PocketSAFE via Start gt Settings gt Buttons

• Highlight the Button that you want to designate
  and locate PocketSAFE in the Button Assignment
  list and select gt OK.

• From the login screen Select File gt Transfer
  Basic Data

• When transfer is complete Select gtOK

• Enter your SAFE User ID and Password and Select
  gtOK

• Select gt Yes to download your Case List

• When Transfer is Complete Select gt OK

Creating Activity Entries

• Remove your Pocket PC from its cradle

• Tap the desired Case on your Case List to Open
  the Activities Window

• Select - New to create another Activity on the
  same case.
• Use the lt and gt buttons to review all non
  transferred activities on a case.
• Select - Delete to delete the visible activity.
• Select - Save to save all entered Activities and
  to return to Case List. If select File gt Save
  your remain in the window.
• Select - Cancel to cancel all unsaved activities
  and to return to the Case List.

• Help Menu Displays the version of PocketSAFE
  that you are running.
• Edit Menu - provides the following options
• Cut
• Copy
• Paste
• Now Date/Time
• NOTE Standard Shortcut keys do not work in
  PocketSAFE

• Use the Tab key to move between fields
• Use the Enter key to Save (unless your cursor is
  in the narrative field).
• Enter
• Start Date
• Start Time (Optional)
• Duration
• Type
• Activity Narrative

Transferring Activities to SAFE

• Place your Pocket PC on the Cradle
• Wait for Microsoft ActiveSync to complete
  processing
• Start PocketSAFE, if needed
• Select File gt Transfer Activities

• When Activity Transfer is Complete - Tap OK

NOTE Transferred Activities are posted to your
cases as Transcribed Drafts at 10 minutes past
each hour.

If you would like to be able to display your
Pocket PC screen on your desktop monitor and be
able to use your desktop keyboard to enter
information into you Pocket PC, then go to the
