The Purpose of GR

• be responsible for regional planning,
• safeguard the regions interests by means of
  lobbying, comments on proposals submitted for
  consideration etc,
• run development projects together with the
  member municipalities,

• create networks, spread ideas and stimulate
  exchange of experience,
• monitor the outside world, stimulate debate and
  act as intermediary for future scenarios,
