In the beginning there was nothing but darkness.

Then God said, Let there be light.

And God made the sun to shine in the daytime.

And the stars to shine at night.

And God saw that it was good.

Then God said, Let there be dry land around and
the sky above.

And God made Castle Hill, Mt Stuart, Magnetic
Island and the Coral Sea.

And God saw that it was good.

And God said, Let there be trees and plants of
every kind.

So the tamarinds, mangoes, raintrees and palms
came to be.

For their beauty and their colour,
God created the hibiscus and the frangipani

And God saw that it was good.

Then God said, Let there be birds to fly in
the sky and fish to swim in the sea.

And there were ibis, parrots and coral fish of
many colours.

And God saw that it was good.
16
Then God said, Let there be animals of all
kinds.

And God made kangaroos, crocodiles, frogs and
flying foxes

And God saw that it was good.
19
Then God said, Let there be people. And God
made people in Gods own image. God made people
to love God and love others. People who would
laugh and cry and be happy.

And God saw that everything was good.
