An Equality and Diversity Masterclass training
event for staff in SOTW Equality Manager, DRE
team and Sangini womens health project organized
and coordinated a cultural diversity day .There
was a Market Stall (Sari Workshop, Language
Services, Health MOTs ) staff had the
opportunity to learn about different cultures
through dance groups, music and much more.  This
was the first of successful events to take place
around the equality strands. In the photography
from left to right Jackie Nixon, Lynne Lane, Pat
Harle, Skree Reddy and Kay Prior.  
Whats on Locally?
The Black Training and Enterprise Group is
working in partnership with Sunderland BME
Network to deliver a one day workshop for BME
groups in SUNDERLAND. The aim of the workshop is
to support increased engagement between BME
groups and the Sunderland Partnership.  The
workshop is on Wednesday 18 February 2009, 9.30am
to 4pm, at Sunderland Bangladeshi Community
Centre, 30 Tatham Street, Hendon, Sunderland,
SXR1 2QD.  The workshop is FREE for participants
and includes lunch.
