Comprehensive LEA Improvement Plan (CLIP)
  • A Planning Process to Improve Student Academic
    Achievement.

Why CLIP?
  • Allows the system to receive funds under NCLB
  • Integrates the requirements for planning across
    all NCLB programs and the States Professional
    Learning program
  • Eliminates the need for LEAs to submit separate
    plans for individual programs
  • Encourages collaboration among departments within
    the system
  • Focuses supplemental funds toward achievement of
    a central set of goals

Comprehensive Plan in order to receive funding
from the following state and federal programs

MCSD CLIP (A 3-Year Plan)
  • 1. Was created by stakeholders representing
    parents, schools, community, and central office.
  • 2. Includes annual measurable objectives,
    specific strategies, and frequent evaluation.
  • 3. Reflects strategic use of resources in order
    to provide the best educational opportunities for
    all students.
  • 4. Was approved by the MCSD Board of Education in
    September, 2006.

    potential subgroups in jeopardy of not meeting
    AYP for the upcoming year.
