1. Who am I?
  • I have granules that you can see under the light
    microscope.
  • Im polymorphonuclear(PMN).
  • My role is to be the first immune system cell at
    the site of an infection.
  • I am a phagocyte and when I engulf and destroy
the invader I also kill myself.

2. Who am I?
  • I also have granules and a lobed nucleus.
  • My granules are red and contain inflammatory
    chemicals.
  • I am phagocytic and my role is to kill parasitic
    worms.
  • I also play a role in the allergic reaction

3. Who am I?
  • I too have granules. They are blue.
  • My nucleus is usually U-shaped.
  • My granules contain histamine for vasodilation
(so that immune system cells can rapidly get to
    the site of the infection).
  • I play a role in the allergic response.

4. Who am I?
  • I am agranular.
  • I have a large nucleus.
  • A lot of us tend to be found in lymphatic tissue.
  • I am very important in the specific immune
    response.
  • Depending on my type, I can make antibodies or
    other chemicals.

5. Who am I?
  • I am also agranular.
  • I am the largest WBC.
  • Once I leave the blood vessel, I become a
macrophage who phagocytizes things that arent
    supposed to be there.
  • I initiate the specific immune response.

6. Who am I?
  • I am the fluid part of blood.
  • I contain dissolved nutrients, wastes, and CO2.
I also contain antibodies and other proteins.
  • My role is that of transport, regulation, and
    protection.
  • I take up approximately 55 of the total blood
    volume.

7. Who am I?
  • When the blood is spun, I am the heavy layer that
sinks to the bottom half of the tube.
  • I take up approximately 45 of the total blood
    volume.

8. Who am I?
  • We play a role in hemostasis.
  • We secrete chemicals such as ADP and serotonin,
calcium, enzymes, and others to cause the clot to
    form and firm-up.
  • We like to mingle with fibrin and clotting
    factors from the plasma.

9. Who can I give blood to?
