3About our practise pushcart.
These carts are what we used to finalise our
design and help the drivers and riders group keep
their fitness levels up. We also used the carts
to produce an image of what a push cart is like
to help us get in to building. These carts played
a major part in creating our design and the
drives and rides to practise.
4Fair Tests
5About Our Fair Test
- We used our Fair test to decide which brake
system will be the best one, and how far away the
equipment should be to be able to turn easily. - We learnt that for the braking system what would
be the best material to brake the wheels. - For the steering we learnt that the further away
the equipment is the easier it is to turn.
6Training for the big event
7In the practise carts
8Training
- We had to do training so that the drivers and
riders were light enough and were fit enough to
push the pushcart. Also light enough to drive the
pushcart. The drivers and riders jogged around
the oval each couple of days and played a few
other games.
9The Frame
10Our Frame
- We received a frame that was fully intact. It was
the perfect size and shape to fit the seat
steering wheels and it was also perfect length.
11In The Making
12What we used to make our cart
We used a seat from an old wheelchair and a
brake which was kindly donated by our school
support unit. A member of our class kindly
donated a fully intact frame that came with a
steering wheel. This member also donated a
spoiler. The wheels were bought with the money we
raised and the bumper bar was donated by another
member of our class
