WG 1 Scope of ISO 11783
- ISO 11783 Tractors and machinery for agriculture
and forestry - Serial control and
communications data network - Scope
- ISO 11783 as a whole specifies a serial data
network for control and communications on
forestry or agricultural tractors and mounted,
semi-mounted, towed or self-propelled implements.
Its purpose is to standardize the method and
format of transfer of data between sensors,
actuators, control elements, and
information-storage and -display units, whether
mounted on, or part of, the tractor or implement.
It is intended to provide open system
interconnect (OSI) for electronic systems used by
agricultural and forestry equipment.

WG 1 Scope and status of ISO 11786
- ISO 11786 Tractor-mounted Sensor Interface
IS 11/2006 - Specification
- Scope
- Specifies an electrical connector and its pin
layout for mounting on an agricultural tractor
with a nominal 12-volt battery supply for the
purpose of providing an interface between
tractor-mounted sensors and equipment requiring
signals from those sensors. Provides therefore a
short-term solution to date communication
between a restricted set of tractor-mounted
sensors and other systems on agricultural
tractors and attached machinery, in anticipation
of the availability of a standardized digital
data bus system.

conditions and defines severity levels for tests
which relate to the environmental extremes that
can be experienced in practical operation of the
equipment. The standard is intended to be used in
determining the suitability of the equipment of
the these machines, for use in a specified range
of environmental conditions.
