History and Development of SAGE Russia

• SAGE started in Russia in 2003 as a part of
  International Educational Program Students for
  the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship.
• First Coordinator of SAGE Program in Russia was
  Sergey Ravichev, the director of International
  Center on Economic and Business Education.
• First participants were the students from high
  schools of 3 Central Russia's cities Kolomna,
  Obninsk and Tula.
• On April 2004 the First SAGE Russian National
  Championship was organized in Kolomna.

• From 2004 SAGE National Competition is conducted
  every year in Russia.
• School's teams from Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny
  Novgorod, Orel, St Petersburg, Voronezh, Kaluga,
  Chelyabinsk, Cheboksary joined to SAGE program
  from 2004 to 2008.
• From 2006 Irina Dannikova became SAGE Russia
  Coordinator.
• In 2008 site of SAGE Russia was created with the
  help of our partner Tula College on Economic Law
  and Informatics Technology. Its address is
  sagerussia.tepi.ru

• According to ideas and rules of SAGE Global the
  student's teams from high schools create their
  entrepreneurship, social and ecological projects
  together with teachers, mentors from universities
  and business.

• All projects of school teams reflect the main
  idea of SAGE movement
• Creating the better future trough
  entrepreneurship and social responsibility.

• Student teams demonstrate their achievements in
  the annual Russia's SAGE Cup. Judge Board of
  representatives from business, authorities,
  public organization and education choose the best
  for participation in the SAGE World Cup. It is
  outstanding event for all participants.

• The first Russian team who participated in SAGE
  World Cup was from Obninsk. That competition took
  place in San-Francisco (USA) in 2005.
• Later Russian teams from Tula and Yekaterinburg
  were participants of Word Cup Events in Shanghai
  (China) and Odessa (Ukraine).
• In 2007 the team from Tula (Chekino's School
  11) became 3-rd Prize Winner in social
  entrepreneurship's projects.
