Antarctica

• Antartica is at the bottom of the world (South
  Pole).
• Only two inches of snow or rain fall each year.

• Antarctica has one hundred million ( 100,000,000)
  peguins that live there.
• This is a picture of Adelie Peguins.
• Height 70cm - 27.5inches
• Weight 5kg - 11lb

• The zodiac can be eaten in one gulp! (by the
  humpback whale).

Palmer Station

• On Anvers Island, Antarctica
• Palmer station can only have 50 people stay at
  one time!
• It is so dangerous they have to have walkie
  talkies to check in every hour to stay safe !

The Sun

• In Antartica the sun never sets in November.
• Winter starts in April and the sun does not rise
  at all!

Hairgrass

• Hairgrass only grows 1 inch every 100 years on
  Antarctica.
