3Objective
- This project aims at
- Harnessing the power of the Internet to remotely
monitor and manage construction projects that are
happening at about 200 different geographical
locations in the State.
4What was the Status till now...
5Present Challenge
6Additional Conditions
- 50 Central Govt. grant would not be available if
the progress was not kept up - Transparency Act and rules in position
- Right to Information e-governance concepts
- Need to cut down on overheads in view of staff
costs and recommendation of ARC to close down the
Corporation - Staff strength limited to 120 now raised to 300
7To meet these challenges Web based PMS was
conceived and implemented in six months
- The system has a centrally located server hosting
the web server of KSPHC co-located at ISP - Microsoft Project Central deployed therein to
enable contractors to upload progress as well as
Photos and video clips showing the stage of
construction - Actual Milestones, activities and events plotted
against planned milestones, activities and events
using MS Projects 2000 - Alert messages generated and emails sent to
concerned whenever there is a lag
