Policy

• Know/Understand BNL's Environmental, Safety,
  Security and Health (ESSH) Policy
• Environment  We protect the environment,
  conserve resources, and prevent pollution.
• Safety  We maintain a safe workplace and we plan
  our work and perform it safely.  We take
  responsibility for the safety of ourselves,
  coworkers, and guests.
• Security  We protect people, property,
  information, computing systems, and facilities.
• Health  We protect human health within our
  boundaries and in the surrounding community.
• Compliance  We achieve and maintain compliance
  with applicable ESSH requirements.
• Community  We maintain open, proactive and
  constructive relationships with our employees,
  neighbors, regulators, DOE, and our other
  stakeholders.
• Continual Improvement  We continually improve
  ESSH performance.

  trucks on-site and off-site to transport
  personnel and small, hand-held packages
• Office Work
• General office work such as computer work,
  filing, operating office machines, and attending
  meetings
• Bicycle Riding
• Riding a bicycle on paved roads for business
  purposes
• Walking
• Walking and movement in building and around
  grounds
• Manual Lifting
• Lifting and movement of objects and packages in
  building and around grounds

• FRA

Note The JRA/FRA is a process to identify
hazards, determine the risk level, and ensure
appropriate controls are in place so that the
work can be safely done.
