Introduction
ISO 450012018 is a new International standard
which provides a framework, regardless of size,
activity and geographical location, to manage and
continuously improve Occupational Health and
Safety within the organization. The risk-based
approach standard introduces the common Annex
SL structure which provides compatibility with
other ISO standards.

History
OHSAS 180012007 is the predecessor to the
recently released ISO standard ISO 450012018.
The OHSAS standard was recognised internationally
but it is not an ISO standard. ISO 450012018 is
an ISO standard and has been designed to have
greater compatibility with existing ISO standard
management system revisions including ISO
90012015 and ISO 140012015.
