What is Europass?

• Europass helps individuals highlight their assets
  in a clear and consistent way, so that education
  institutions and employers understand what they
  can do
• It is a tool which helps make it easier for
  individuals to find employment or a
  study/training course abroad
• It promotes mobility, which in turn increases
  employability

• They are all in a standardised format, to make
  them more easily understood across Europe.
• All available in paper-based format from the UK
  NEC upon request.

Europass CV

• Summarises an individuals qualifications,
  competencies and skills
• Formatted in a clear, accessible way
• Sections are added or removed to allow
  personalisation
• Can be saved and then uploaded for alteration at
  a later date
• Utilised as basis for information expanded upon
  in other documents
• Completed by individuals through the Europass or
  EURES websites

Europass Language Passport

• Summarises an individuals language
  qualifications, competencies and skills
  (listening, reading, speaking, writing)
• Includes competences attained both formally and
  informally
• Self-assessed by individuals using a level
  descriptor
• Can be saved and then uploaded for alteration at
  a later date
• Can be annexed to the ECV for extra clarity

Europass Mobility

• Personalised document detailing content of an
  organised programme of work, training or learning
  attended in another European country
• Completed by the employers or learning providers
  overseeing the programme
• Lists competences attained during placement
• All participants of LLL programmes are
  automatically eligible for one
• Registration for participating organisations on
  UK NEC website

Europass Certificate Supplement

• Provides information on content of and background
  to a vocational education and training course
• Specific to qualification rather than individual
• Completed by the body awarding the qualification
  certificate
• Clarifies what an individual can do
• Template available through the UK NEC

Europass Diploma Supplement

• Personalised document summarising an individuals
  educational achievements at higher education
  level and the national higher education system
• Completed by higher education institution
  awarding the qualification certificate
• Provides extra clarity of a graduates knowledge
  and skills
• Template available through the UK NEC, for all
  countries of the UK and also in Welsh language
