- Industrial minerals produced by Electra are in
continuous demand for products that are produced
on the West coast - Limestone and chalky geyserite are integral for
the production of cement - Low grade iron is used for hardened cement
applications, - Kaolin is used for production of West coast
paper, paint, ceramics and other industrial
applications
7Industrial minerals are in steady demand
- ? Freeze on new US West coast mining permits
combined with depletion of local sources make
Electras production attractive to new
customers - ? 3 major corporations (Ashgrove, LaFarge and
Lehigh) control the majority of production
and distribution of cement on the West Coast - Electra has a long term supply agreement with

similar agreements with LaFarge and Lehigh - Further growth potential from accessible coastal
markets in British Columbia, Washington,
Oregon and California

geyserite for the cement industry, - Lang Bay development property for kaolinite
production - Alberta Iron development property for the
cement industry
9Apple Bay Mine Site
- Currently produces 127,000 tonnes of chalky
geyserite annually for Ashgrove Cement - Production can potentially be increased to
over 400,000 tonnes with the addition of
LaFarge and Lehigh

Projected Chalky Geyserite Tonnage 2006 to
2009
11Apple Bay Mine Site
Falling Production Costs vs Higher Revenue 2006
to 2009
12Lang Bay Kaolin Project
? Used for the production of newsprint as a low
cost substitute for wood fiber and an
opacifier, ? Over 3 million spent on property
development including a project development
study, (pre NI 43-101) ? Potential market of over
15 million annually for raw and refined
kaolin products from Lang Bay
