• No comprehensive information intended to
  highlight the potential of high-quality
  cooperation with the region
• Mapping progress after consultation round and
  feedback with SEA partners first online survey
  sent out response rate 45 (two rounds of
  reminders, telephone calls)

Spotlight on Excellent Researchersfrom
Southeast Asia

• Final draft developed in September layout and
  design finished
• October one week response time from scientists
  and partners on content
• Printing in 2nd half of October 300-500 copies
  will be presented at WoC in Bogor
• Subsequently sent out to NCPs in Europe that deal
  with international cooperation and agencies to
  lobby for inclusion of SEA scientists in research
  projects

• Online database of excellent institutions for
  EU-SEA cooperation
• On institution level contacts should be directly
  ST cooperation-relevant
• Main criterias
• Fit for international cooperation (e.g. has
  already performed international projects with EU
  partners in FP or applied for those)
• Selection by scientist recommendation which
  partner could you recommend for ST cooperation
  from a SEA country that is not yours
  (snowballing sample)

  EU-SEA cooperation
• Questionnaire developed internal ZSI quality
  check feedback from project partners
• Two rounds of survey success rate rather low
  (19,41) few recommendations by respondants
• anyhow we have now profiles of 41 institutions
  in SEA
• Information recived will be uploaded on the
  website in the cooperation ressource pool
  directory
