Admission Requirements

• Slightly lower than degree in view of the
  practical nature of the course.
• 130 points with 100 from at least one Advanced
  GCE/VCE
• 30 points may come from key skills.
• GCSE mathematics is required but an equivalent
  level may be reached via a Staffordshire
  University Summer School course.

The Students

• Flexible entry requirements i.e. not all
  examination based opens up the course to mature
  students
• Age range of 18 to 76!
• Over 60 considered mature i.e. over 21.
• Mix of experience makes for interesting and
  helpful tutorial discussion.

• First year is common to all routes and gives a
  basic grounding in computing principles

  specific project.

• State of the Art Labs
• Professionally designed courses
• Parts 1, 2 and 3 may be gained during the HND
  course

• Modular Framework
• Each module is worth either 10 or 20 credits.
• Modules are graded as follows
• gt70 Distinction
• gt60 Merit
• lt40 Pass
• Each year has 120 credits
• Require 240 credits to gain an HND.
