UMVE

• Develop a central virtual enterprise to emulate a
  real-world business environment in R/3 supported
  curricula.
• The scenario emulates the complex environment of
  a modern virtual enterprise that integrates a
  variety of business processes throughout its
  supply chain
• Developed scenario will serve as basis for
  teaching classes using R/3 as a supporting tool

• Develop and test a role-based, technology-enabled
  marketplace that connects five international
  schools and their students in a virtual industry
• Enable student teams to interact between the
  participating schools in the operation of a
  electronic business simulation marketplace

• Identify possible business processes that the
  organization has planned to implement in the near
  future
• To build a sound IT strategy, you must first
  understand your companys business strategy

Pros and Cons of Solution Composer

• Advantages
• Identify the major business processes required in
  a very short duration
• Solution Composer has reference projects, which
  helps to study similar scenarios that a project
  may require.
• Disadvantages
• Solution Composer and R/3 do not have a
  one-to-one relation and hence identifying the
  corresponding business processes in R/3 on an
  exact scale is not possible.
• Solution Composer does not allow import or export
  of maps to R3 or vice-versa and hence validation
  of the exact business processes in the R/3 system
  is very difficult.
