Title: AIM
1PCGuruA PC component configuration tool
SOLUTION We have created a computer program that
allows the user to choose a component
(motherboard, processor, memory, hard-drive and
graphics card) and compare this with any other
component from the list to see if they would be
compatible with one another. This can be used to
add a new component to an existing setup, or to
allow the creation of a new PC from the component
list.

- AIM
- To create a fully functional PC component
configuration tool - BACKGROUND
- Many computer enthusiasts prefer to assemble
their PCs from separately purchased components
such as motherboard, processor, memory,
hard-drive etc. But there are several different
standards for each of these, and new ones
constantly appear, and it is not always easy to
tell which components are mutually compatible.
PCGuru GUI
OBJECTIVE The aim of this project is to create a
system that will
answer such
questions as to whether or not
a certain
component will work with another.
Therefore, allowing the user to choose their
desired components for their custom PC.
An example run The top left image shows
a successful configuration. The centre image
shows a failed configuration. The far right image
shows a configuration with both a pass and fail
message.
