Context for Project
  • California is losing career and technical
    educators, in general, and female career and
    technical educators are a part of this.
  • Women instructors reported feeling isolated and
    lacking opportunities to network.
  • Studies show that role models whom students can
    relate to are more likely to influence students,
    including those who are nontraditional.

Project Goals
  • Recruit and support a network of female teachers
    in industrial technology who can support each
    other and share ideas
  • Increase the number of female students who are
    recruited and retained in industrial technology
