Proper Management of Stockpiles
Stockpiles should be covered when rain is
forecast and covering should be anchored to
protect from wind.

Any materials that are to be used during roadwork
must be properly managed to minimize potential
for discharge and also for safety.

Berms may be placed around excavated soils or
fills to prevent discharge.

This covered stockpile is acceptable until the
anchors roll off when the wind kicks up the
plastic. It looks like a few rocks have already
rolled off.
