• The Issue Two different looking learning
  platforms
• Comments received from Pilot Project at UVic
  about Moodle
• I find it easier to grade weekly homework and
  weekly discussions on Moodle and it handles
  audio, video files beautifully.
• I noticed how quickly my students learned how to
  use it.
• Students love the Moodle calendar feature.
• Biggest issue Migrating course content from
  Blackboard to Moodle, but its an opportunity to
  re-design and take another look at my content and
  how I present it.
• Great Moodle Feature Saving my entire Moodle
  course including all content to my own desktop
  computer so I can easily upload it to another
  course shell when I teach it again.

• Comments received about Blackboard
• Gradebook features are presently more robust than
  Moodle.
• I like the fact that Blackboard is icon driven.
• Biggest Issues
• Why cant I download my content to my desktop to
  take away with me?
• Besides the new UVic website, there is extremely
  poor documentation if I have a problem or some
  kind of glitch happens.
• I find the labels and how to design my course in
  Blackboard not very intuitive.

Comments on Both Learning Platforms

• Neither system is presently compatible with
  uploading of grades to FAST
• Both systems require you to know computer basics
  (the more knowledge the better)
