Objectives The goals of the symposium are (1)
to exchange professional experiences and
discuss problem solving strategies in farming
and rural systems economics and biodiversity
in the tropics, (2) to improve and promote
research and teaching co-operation and (3) to
evaluate activities of the past and intensify and
establish new relations Participants Scientists
and managers in universities and research
centers from Africa, Middle East, Central and
South Asia, Southeast Asia and Latin America as
well as from European Universities and
institutions related to the tropics. This
includes Alumni from developing countries who did
their PhD in a German University and
scientifically and academically interested
persons who deal with issues in the developing
world.
