  • We must open the doors to opportunity. But we
must also equip our people to walk through those
    doors.

Technology Integration is
  • Effective integration of technology is achieved
when students are able to select technology tools
to help them obtain information in a timely
manner, analyze and synthesize the information,
and present it professionally. The technology
should become an integral part of how the
classroom functions -- as accessible as all other
    classroom tools.

Grade 2 MathematicsUnit 1 Numbers, Numerals,
and Data
  • GLE 1. Model, read, and write place values for
numbers through 999 in word, standard, and
    expanded form (N-1-E)
  • Use appropriate software (e.g. KidPix, Tux
Paint, Draw, PowerPoint) to type number in digit
form, represent the number with pictures, and
    type expanded notation.

Grade 3 MathematicsUnit 1 Graphs, Growth, and
Patterns
  • GLE 45. Use manipulatives to discuss the
probability of an event (e.g., number cubes,
spinners to determine what is most likely or
    least likely) (D-5-E)
  • Probability http//www.bbc.co.uk/education
    /mathsfile/shockwave/games/fish.html

Grade 4 ScienceUnit 1 Measuring and Comparing
  • In this unit, various investigations require
accurate measuring using a variety of tools and
units of measure. Measuring and comparing are two
skills that are required and practiced throughout
the science units and across the curriculum.

13
Grade 4 ScienceUnit 1 Measuring and Comparing
  • GLE 27. Describe how the amount of force needed
to cause an object to change its motion depends
on the mass of the object (PS-E-B4)
  • Interactive Web-sites can be used to extend the
understanding of force. Combine the Web-sites
    with charts to record data.
