Objectives of the Course

• Following this course, the students should
• understand what is a database, from the
  conceptual, mathematical and practical point of
  view
• become able to develop the conceptual and logical
  design of a relational database, including both
  the structure and the operations
• understand how the database systems work, also
  for managing concurrent operations, and how these
  systems can be accessed via web.
