LESSON 17 OPENING PRAYER
  • Heavenly Father, what a present youve given in
your holy Word. Through it you strengthened my
faith in your promises. Youve helped me
understand who I am and why Im here. Youve let
me know that, even though I still sin, you still
love me and care about me. Im sorry that I
havent always paid close attention to your Word.
In fact, sometimes Ive ignored itby not
worshipping you, nor reading the Bible, or

Prayer (cont)
  • Or even daydreaming when I could be listening to
you speak. Forgive me and help me to understand
this Bible better. Help me make good decisions
for my life based on what in it and help me to be
able trust in the promises I find therein good
times and in bad times. We ask this because
youve promised to bless us through your Word.
    In Jesus name. Amen.
