WA993 InstallationSet Exit Trim Handing

• Install lever using hex head screw and 5/32
  allen wrench
• Test key override to ensure cam rotation

• Push down on lever and observe rotation of output
  cam
• While keeping lever depressed, install the stop
  screw
• Using the key to unlock the WA993. Ensure the
  lever only rotates downward

WA993 InstallationDisassemble the Exit Device

• Remove the end cap components
• Slide off the mechanism cover

Flip to prevent dogging

• Remove the two screws at the center case end (a)
• Slide off the mechanism case (b)
• Remove the push bar (c)
• If the push bar has two screws (d) for end cap,
  replace with the 2 screws provided in this kit.
  This end only.

WA993 InstallationInstall the Request-to-Exit
switch

• Install the REX switch in exit devices baseplate
• Secure in place with nylon fastener
• Cut and remove the yellow wire

WA993 InstallationCarefully Adjust REX Switch

• Ensure switch is not activated until exit bar is
  pushed.
• Otherwise, the battery will be prematurely
  drained.

WA993 InstallationMount Exit Device and Install
Spindle

• Feed REX wires on exit device through lower hole
  (a) in center case.
• Feed REX wires through hole in door (b)
• Place exit device against door
• Secure exit device in place with two screws (c).
• From the trim side of door, insert spindle (d)
  into exit device cam. See next page for details.
